Q: Do you have parking? How much is it?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel offers convenient on-site self-parking in a gated, fully enclosed, and well-lighted parking lot.
Parking is $49 per day, plus a 10% City of Los Angeles parking tax. Parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, although guests may also reserve parking in advance through the hotel website or the parking link included in the reservation confirmation.
Your parking permit includes unlimited in-and-out access for 24 hours.
For the easiest directions to the parking lot side entrance, please enter:
4646 Lexington Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90029
into your navigation system.
The parking lot also offers ADA parking spaces, including van-accessible ADA parking spaces.
For guests with electric vehicles, we also offer 6 Tesla EV chargers and 3 ChargePoint J1772 chargers. Regular parking charges apply while using the EV charging stations.
Q: Do you have electric vehicle charging?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel offers electric vehicle charging stations in our on-site parking lot.
We currently have:
6 Tesla EV chargers
3 ChargePoint J1772 chargers
Tesla charging rates are available through the Tesla app, and ChargePoint rates are available through ChargePoint.
Please note that the hotel’s regular parking fee of $49 per day, plus a 10% City of Los Angeles parking tax, also applies while using the EV charging stations.
Once your vehicle is fully charged, we recommend moving it to a regular parking space as soon as possible. Leaving your vehicle plugged into the charging station after the battery has reached full capacity may continue to incur charging or meter fees, which helps encourage drivers to free up the charging space for other guests.
Q: Do you have bus parking?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel offers limited on-site bus parking in our gated, fully enclosed, and well-lighted parking lot.
Bus parking is $149 per day, plus a 10% City of Los Angeles parking tax.
Because bus parking is limited, a special reservation must be made directly with the hotel in advance. Upon arrival, please notify the front desk, and our staff will direct the bus driver to the appropriate designated parking area.
For directions to the parking lot side entrance, please enter:
4646 Lexington Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90029
into your navigation system.

Q: How do I get to Universal Studios from the hotel?
A: Universal Studios Hollywood is very easy to reach from Hollywood Hotel by Metro — no car and no train transfers are required.
The Vermont/Santa Monica Metro station is directly across the street from Hollywood Hotel.
Enter the Vermont/Santa Monica Station.
Take the Metro B Line toward North Hollywood.
Ride directly to Universal/Studio City Station.
Cross the pedestrian bridge at Lankershim Boulevard and Universal Hollywood Drive.
Take Universal Studios Hollywood’s complimentary shuttle up the hill to Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood.
How Long Does It Take?
By Metro
Train ride: approximately 13 minutes
No train transfers required
Allow roughly 30–40 minutes total from the hotel to Universal Studios when including waiting for the train, exiting the station, crossing the pedestrian bridge and taking the complimentary Universal shuttle.
By Car
Hollywood Hotel is approximately 5.7 miles from Universal Studios.
In very light traffic, the drive itself can be approximately 10 minutes.
During normal or heavier Los Angeles traffic, driving time can increase considerably.
You must also allow additional time to enter Universal’s parking complex, find a parking space and walk through CityWalk toward the theme-park entrance.
Therefore, although a car can be faster when traffic is light, Metro travel time is generally much more predictable, especially during busy morning arrival and evening departure periods.
Metro Cost
Regular Metro fare is:
$1.75 each way
$3.50 round trip per person
Compare That With Universal Studios Parking
Current Universal Studios Hollywood parking rates are:
General Parking before 5 PM: $40
Preferred Parking before 5 PM: starting at $60
Front Gate Parking: starting at $70
Valet Parking: $25 for the first 2 hours or $60 after 2 hours
Metro vs. Driving — Cost & Convenience
Transportation Approximate Travel Time Transportation/Parking Cost
Metro – 1 person ~30–40 min door-to-park $3.50 round trip
Metro – 2 people ~30–40 min $7 round trip
Metro – 4 people ~30–40 min $14 round trip
Car – light traffic Drive can be ~10 min, plus parking/walking $40+ parking, plus fuel
Car – heavier traffic Can increase substantially $40–$70+ parking, plus fuel
Potential Parking Savings
Compared with $40 General Parking:
1 person: Metro $3.50 — save $36.50
2 people: Metro $7.00 — save $33.00
3 people: Metro $10.50 — save $29.50
4 people: Metro $14.00 — save $26.00
Guests using Preferred or Front Gate parking can save substantially more.
Why We Recommend Metro
The biggest advantage is that the Metro station is directly across the street from Hollywood Hotel. There is no need to drive through Hollywood traffic, search for parking, pay Universal’s parking fee, or drive back after a long day at the park.
The Metro B Line takes you directly to Universal/Studio City without changing trains, and Universal provides a complimentary shuttle from the Metro station to Universal Studios Hollywood and CityWalk.

The Hollywood Sign
The Hollywood Hills
Griffith Park
The Los Angeles skyline and basin
For guests who enjoy hiking, the Observatory connects to the extensive Griffith Park trail network.
More adventurous hikers can continue through Griffith Park toward Mount Lee, where the Hollywood Sign is located. Authorized hiking trails lead to viewpoints behind and above the Hollywood Sign, offering spectacular views over the Sign and Los Angeles.
Please note that the Hollywood Sign letters themselves are located within a protected restricted area and cannot be approached or touched.
The Mt. Hollywood Trail, which begins near Griffith Observatory, is another popular option for panoramic Hollywood Sign and Los Angeles views.

Q: Why is there a $200 hold on my card? Is it a deposit?
A: The $200 amount is not a security deposit. It is a temporary authorization hold placed on the credit or debit card presented at check-in.
The purpose of the authorization is to confirm that funds are available for any incidental charges that may be added during your stay, such as in-room movies, telephone charges, food and beverage, or other hotel services.
At checkout, the hotel applies any actual incidental charges and releases the unused portion of the $200 authorization hold.
If you used a debit card, your bank may temporarily deduct or hold the $200 from your available account balance until the authorization is released. For this reason, we generally recommend using a credit card rather than a debit card when possible.
Once the hotel releases the authorization, the timing for the funds to become available again is controlled by your card-issuing bank. We recommend contacting your bank directly if you would like to confirm when the authorization will disappear from your account or when the funds will be restored.
Q: When is the $200 hold released?
A: The $200 authorization hold is released by Hollywood Hotel at checkout, after any incidental charges from your stay have been finalized.
If there were no incidental charges, the unused authorization is released in full. If there were incidental charges, those charges are applied first and the remaining unused portion is released.
Once the hotel releases the authorization, the timing for the funds to become available again is controlled entirely by your card-issuing bank. Depending on the bank and card type, the release may appear immediately or may take up to 14 days.
Please note that Hollywood Hotel cannot speed up or otherwise control your bank’s release timeline once the authorization has been released by the hotel.
If you used a debit card, your bank may have temporarily reduced your available balance by the $200 amount. We recommend contacting your bank directly to confirm exactly when the released funds will be restored to your available balance.
Hollywood Hotel is not responsible for any overdraft fees, over-limit fees, or other bank or card charges that may result from your financial institution’s authorization-hold process or release timing.
Q: Will my card be charged when I book?
A: Whether your card is charged when you book depends on the rate plan you select.
Prepaid or non-refundable rates are generally charged at the time of booking according to the terms shown with that rate.
Flexible rates are typically secured with a credit or debit card, with payment processed according to the cancellation and payment terms shown on your reservation.
At check-in, Hollywood Hotel also places a separate $200 authorization hold on the card presented for incidental charges. This is not a security deposit and is separate from your room charges.
Because payment and cancellation terms can vary by rate plan and booking website, we recommend reviewing the specific terms displayed with your reservation.
Q: What are your check-in and check-out times?
A: Hollywood Hotel’s standard times are:
Check-in: 3:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM
Early check-in may be available beginning at 10:00 AM, based on room availability, for a $99 fee plus applicable taxes.
Late check-out may also be available, based on availability. The published late check-out fee from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM is $99 plus applicable taxes.
If you arrive before your room is ready or need to leave your luggage after check-out, luggage storage is available for an additional fee.
Q: Can I check in early?
A: Yes. Early check-in may be available beginning at 10:00 AM, based on room availability.
Hollywood Hotel’s early check-in fee is $99 plus applicable taxes for check-in between 10:00 AM and the standard 3:00 PM check-in time. Because availability depends on the previous night’s occupancy and housekeeping schedule, early check-in cannot be guaranteed in advance.
If your room is not yet available when you arrive, luggage storage is available so you can begin enjoying Los Angeles while your room is being prepared.
Q: Can I check out late?
A: Yes. Late check-out may be available based on availability.
Hollywood Hotel’s standard check-out time is 11:00 AM. When available, late check-out may be extended until 5:00 PM for $99 plus applicable taxes.
Because late check-out depends on the hotel’s occupancy and housekeeping schedule for that day, it cannot always be guaranteed in advance.
If late check-out is unavailable, luggage storage is available so you can continue enjoying Los Angeles after leaving your room.
Q: Is there a minimum age to check in?
A: Yes. The minimum age to rent a room and check in at Hollywood Hotel is 18 years old.
At check-in, the registered guest must present a valid government-issued photo ID along with a credit or debit card in the same name as the reservation.
Guests under 18 may stay at the hotel when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or other qualifying adult registered to the room.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept? Can I pay cash?
A: Hollywood Hotel accepts major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash.
If you prefer to pay in cash, you may pay all of your hotel charges in cash at check-in, provided that you also present a valid credit or debit card.
A credit or debit card is still required at check-in for the hotel’s authorization process, including the $200 authorization hold for potential incidental charges. This is not a security deposit and is separate from your room charges.
If you use a debit card, your bank may temporarily reduce your available balance by the authorized amount. For this reason, we generally recommend using a credit card when possible.
For added convenience, Hollywood Hotel also accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay and has an on-site ATM machine available for guests who need to withdraw cash.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Hollywood Hotel offers several different rate plans, so your cancellation and modification policy depends on the rate you selected and where you made your reservation.
Flexible / Standard Reservations Booked Directly with Hollywood Hotel
Booking directly with Hollywood Hotel means booking through www.TheHollywoodHotel.com.
Our direct flexible rate offers the hotel’s best flexible terms and generally gives guests more freedom to make changes to their reservation.
If you book the standard flexible rate directly through our website, you may cancel before 4:00 PM Los Angeles local time on your scheduled check-in date without a cancellation charge.
If you cancel after 4:00 PM on your scheduled arrival date, or if you do not arrive for your reservation, the cancellation/no-show charge is the full amount of the reservation plus applicable taxes.
Booking directly also provides greater flexibility to modify your reservation without penalty or change fees, including changes such as:
Arrival or departure dates
Room type
Other reservation details
Changes are subject to availability, and any difference in the applicable room rate may still apply.
Online Travel Agency / Third-Party Reservations
Reservations made through an OTA or third-party provider, such as Expedia, Booking.com, Airbnb, or another travel provider, are governed by the cancellation and modification terms shown at the time of booking.
OTA flexible rates typically require cancellation approximately 72 hours before arrival, although exact terms vary by provider and rate plan. Most importantly, Hollywood Hotel staff is contractually restricted from making or modifying any reservation booked through a third party.
This restriction applies even if the third-party provider contacts Hollywood Hotel on the guest’s behalf and authorizes the requested modification. The hotel still cannot process the change directly.
Any cancellation, date change, room-type change, name change, or other modification to a third-party reservation must be handled through the original booking provider and within that provider’s system.
For this reason, booking directly through www.TheHollywoodHotel.com generally gives guests the best flexible rate, the most favorable cancellation terms, and substantially more flexibility to modify their reservation.
Non-Refundable / Prepaid Reservations
If you selected a non-refundable or prepaid rate, payments made under that rate are generally non-refundable if you cancel. These rates are typically offered at a lower price in exchange for more restrictive cancellation and modification terms.
Early Departure
Checking out before your confirmed departure date may result in the forfeiture of the unused portion of your reservation, depending on your rate plan and reservation terms.
We recommend carefully reviewing the cancellation and modification terms shown on your confirmation before booking. If your travel plans may change unexpectedly, you may also wish to consider travel insurance, which may be available through your booking provider, travel insurer, or certain credit-card benefits.
Q: Are pets allowed? What is the pet fee?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel is pet-friendly and welcomes well-mannered, fully trained dogs and cats weighing up to 50 pounds.
The pet fee is $50 per pet, per day, plus applicable taxes. This is a non-refundable pet cleaning fee. Additional charges may apply for excessive cleaning or damage to the guest room.
Our pet fees are competitively priced compared with other hotels and can also be considerably less expensive than leaving your pet at a separate pet hotel, boarding facility, or kennel. For many guests, bringing their pet along is both more convenient and more economical.
For guests traveling with pets:
Pet-friendly accommodations are generally located on the first floor.
Pets may not be left unattended in the guest room.
Pets must be leashed, caged, or securely held while in hotel common areas.
Pets are not permitted in areas where food and beverages are being served.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and using appropriate outdoor relief areas.
For the easiest pet-friendly booking experience, we recommend booking directly with Hollywood Hotel at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com. When booking directly, you can select available Pet Packages and enter your pet’s details, including your pet’s name, as part of the reservation.
Hollywood Hotel also offers an optional Pamper Your Pet package, which may include amenities such as a pet bed, toy, food and water bowls, treats, and waste bags.
ADA Service Animals
An ADA service dog is not considered a pet and is handled separately from the hotel’s pet policy in accordance with applicable accessibility requirements.
Standard pet fees and ordinary pet-policy restrictions are therefore not applied to a qualifying ADA service animal in the same manner as they are to pets. Guests traveling with a service animal are welcome to let the hotel know so our staff can appropriately assist with any accessibility needs.
Q: Do you offer anything special for pets?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel offers a special Pamper Your Pet Package designed to make your pet’s stay more comfortable and fun.
For an additional $69 per pet, per night, the package includes:
A soft pet bed
A plush toy
Food and water bowls
Dog treats
Pet waste bags
The Pamper Your Pet Package is optional and is separate from the hotel’s regular $50 per pet, per day pet cleaning fee, plus applicable taxes.
For the best pet-friendly booking experience, we recommend booking directly at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com. When booking directly, you can select available Pet Packages and enter your pet’s information—including your pet’s name—as part of the reservation.
Hollywood Hotel is also conveniently located near several dog parks and pet-friendly restaurants, making it easier to include your pet in your Hollywood vacation.
Our pet fees are also competitively priced compared with other hotels and can be considerably less expensive than leaving your pet at a separate pet hotel, boarding facility, or kennel.
Please note that a qualifying ADA service dog is not considered a pet and is handled separately from the hotel’s pet policy in accordance with applicable accessibility requirements.
Q: Do you accept service animals?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel welcomes qualifying ADA service animals and follows all applicable federal, state, and local accessibility laws.
A qualifying service dog is a working animal, not a pet. Therefore, Hollywood Hotel’s regular pet fees and pet-room restrictions do not apply to a qualifying service animal.
For qualifying ADA service animals:
No pet fee or pet cleaning deposit is charged.
Service animals are not limited to pet-friendly rooms or the first floor.
They may generally accompany their handler in areas of the hotel where guests are normally permitted.
Hollywood Hotel does not require certification, identification cards, special vests, training documents, or medical documentation.
If the service role is not obvious, hotel staff may ask only the questions permitted under the ADA:
Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?
What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
Hotel staff may not ask about the nature of a guest’s disability or require the animal to demonstrate its trained task.
Service animals must remain under the control of their handler and should generally be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless doing so would interfere with the animal’s work or the handler’s disability prevents the use of those devices. In those situations, the animal must remain under control through voice, signals, or another effective method.
A service animal may be required to leave the property if it is not housebroken or is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it.
Hollywood Hotel staff are not responsible for feeding, walking, supervising, or otherwise caring for a guest’s service animal.
There is no additional cleaning or pet fee simply because a guest is traveling with a qualifying service animal. However, as with any guest, the registered guest may be responsible for the cost of actual damage caused to hotel property.
Please note that emotional support, comfort, therapy, or companion animals are not automatically considered service animals under the ADA when their sole function is to provide emotional support. Such animals may instead be subject to Hollywood Hotel’s regular pet policy and applicable pet fees.
Important Notice: Hollywood Hotel follows all applicable ADA laws and accessibility requirements. The information above is intended as a general summary of current service-animal guidelines and hotel practices. Laws, regulations, government guidance, and hotel procedures may be changed, updated, or interpreted differently at any time. If there is any conflict between this summary and applicable law, the current law and official regulatory guidance will control.
Guests traveling with a service animal are always welcome to let our staff know if there is anything we can do to make their stay more comfortable and accessible.
Q: What room types and bed setups do you have?
A: Hollywood Hotel offers a variety of Starlet, Luminary, Silver Screen, ADA-accessible, and larger family/group room configurations, with bed setups ranging from one Queen or one King bed to two Queen beds, four Queen beds, and multi-bedroom suites.
One of the biggest advantages of booking directly through the official Hollywood Hotel website at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com is that our booking system can provide much more detailed information about the individual characteristics of the actual rooms available, rather than treating every room within a category as identical.
Depending on availability, direct-booking guests may be able to select or request characteristics such as:
Starlet or recently renovated Luminary décor
Queen, King, Double Queen, Four Queen, or multi-bedroom configurations
Higher-floor or top-floor locations
Ground-floor rooms
Courtyard-facing or Vermont Street-facing locations
Specific room views
Proximity to elevators
Proximity to stairs or exits
Proximity to vending and ice machines
Bathtub/shower or walk-in shower configurations
ADA-accessible room features
Hot spa/Jacuzzi tub configurations
French or Juliet balcony features where available
Larger room and suite configurations
Because Hollywood Hotel’s guest rooms are not all identical, the direct booking experience allows us to better match guests with the room characteristics that matter most to them.
Why Book Direct at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com?
Booking directly with Hollywood Hotel provides several important advantages over booking through a third-party Online Travel Agency (OTA).
More Room Choice and Personalization
Our direct booking system provides access to more detailed room characteristics and allows guests to better identify the type of room, location, bedding, accessibility features, and other characteristics they prefer.
Third-party websites often display a more generalized room category and may not provide the same level of room-specific detail or customization.
Our Best Flexible Booking Terms
Hollywood Hotel’s direct flexible rate offers some of our most favorable cancellation terms.
Guests booking the standard flexible rate directly through www.TheHollywoodHotel.com may cancel before 4:00 PM Los Angeles local time on the scheduled arrival date without a cancellation charge.
Flexible reservations offered through third-party OTAs typically require cancellation approximately 72 hours before arrival, although the exact terms vary depending on the provider and rate selected.
Greater Flexibility to Modify Your Reservation
Direct reservations also provide much more flexibility if your plans change.
Depending on availability, direct-booking guests can generally request changes such as:
Changing arrival or departure dates
Changing room types
Changing bedding configurations
Upgrading to another room category
Adjusting other reservation details
Hollywood Hotel does not charge a separate modification or change fee for these types of changes, although any difference in the applicable room rate may still apply.
Third-Party Reservations Are Much More Restrictive
If your reservation was booked through an OTA such as Expedia, Booking.com, Airbnb, or another third-party provider, Hollywood Hotel staff is contractually restricted from modifying that reservation directly.
This restriction applies even if the third-party company contacts Hollywood Hotel on the guest’s behalf and authorizes the requested modification.
Any date change, room-type change, name change, cancellation, or other modification must be processed through the original third-party booking provider and within that provider’s system.
Booking directly therefore allows Hollywood Hotel staff to work with you much more easily if your travel plans change.
Pet-Friendly Booking Options
Guests traveling with pets can also book directly through www.TheHollywoodHotel.com, select available Pet Packages, and enter their pet’s information—including their pet’s name—during the reservation process.
Better Communication With the Hotel
When you book directly, your reservation is created directly within Hollywood Hotel’s reservation system. This makes it easier for our staff to assist with room preferences, reservation changes, special requests, accessibility needs, and other stay details without having to work through an outside booking company.
Our RecommendationIf flexibility, room selection, personalization, and the ability to work directly with the hotel are important to you, we recommend booking through:
www.TheHollywoodHotel.com
Booking direct gives you access to Hollywood Hotel’s best flexible rate, more detailed room choices, greater reservation flexibility, and direct assistance from our hotel team—without having to go through a third-party booking provider.
Q: Do you have rooms that sleep 4 or more?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel offers several room types that can accommodate 4 or more guests, making us a convenient option for larger families and groups traveling together.
Depending on availability, options may include:
Starlet Double Queen — 2 Queen beds, accommodating up to 4 guests
Luminary Double Queen — 2 Queen beds, accommodating up to 4 guests
Luminary Double Queen ADA — 2 Queen beds, accommodating up to 4 guests, with accessible features
Silver Screen Junior Suite with Two Queen Beds — 2 Queen beds, accommodating up to 4 guests
Silver Screen 2 Bedroom Suite — a larger multi-room configuration that can accommodate up to 6 guests
Starlet Four Queen Beds — 4 Queen beds, accommodating up to 8 guests
Luminary Four Queen Beds — 4 Queen beds, accommodating up to 8 guests
Why Booking Direct Is Especially Helpful for Larger Families
One important advantage of booking through the official Hollywood Hotel website at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com is that many third-party booking websites do not display or offer all of our specialty room types designed for larger families and groups.
Third-party Online Travel Agencies may only show our more standard room categories, such as one Queen, one King, or two Queen beds. As a result, guests searching exclusively through third-party websites may not even see some of our larger family accommodations, four-Queen configurations, multi-bedroom suites, or other specialty room options.
Booking directly gives you access to a broader selection of Hollywood Hotel room configurations and makes it easier to find accommodations that allow a larger family or group to stay together rather than having to reserve multiple separate rooms.
Our direct booking system may also allow guests to choose or request individual room characteristics such as:
Higher-floor or ground-floor locations
Courtyard-facing or Vermont Street-facing rooms
Specific room views
Proximity to elevators or stairs
Bathtub/shower or walk-in shower configurations
ADA-accessible features
Balcony features where available
Larger room and suite configurations
Because Hollywood Hotel’s rooms are not all identical, booking directly allows us to better match your family or group with the room size, bedding configuration, and individual characteristics that matter most to you.
For families of 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 guests, we strongly recommend checking www.TheHollywoodHotel.com before assuming you need to reserve multiple hotel rooms. Our direct booking engine may have larger accommodations available that are not offered on many third-party booking websites.
Q: Do you have rollaway beds or cribs?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel offers both cribs and rollaway beds, subject to availability and the room’s permitted occupancy and configuration.
Baby cribs: Available complimentary, subject to availability.
Rollaway beds / mobile sleepers: Available for $150 per day, plus applicable taxes, subject to availability.
Because not every guest room can safely or comfortably accommodate an additional bed, rollaway beds are only available in eligible room types and cannot be guaranteed for every reservation.
Hollywood Hotel discourages guests from booking a standard room with the expectation that a rollaway bed will comfortably fit in the room. Depending on the room size and layout, adding a rollaway can significantly reduce available walking and living space.
For families or groups needing additional sleeping accommodations, we recommend either:Booking a second guest room, or
Selecting one of Hollywood Hotel’s larger family rooms or suites, including specialty configurations designed to accommodate more guests comfortably.
Many of these larger family accommodations are available when booking directly through www.TheHollywoodHotel.com and may not be displayed on many third-party booking websites.
If you know you will need a crib or rollaway bed, we recommend making the request when booking your reservation so our team can note your preference and help determine whether your selected room can appropriately accommodate it.
For families traveling with several guests, booking a room specifically designed for your party size will generally provide a more comfortable stay than relying on a rollaway bed in a standard guest room.
Q: Is there a fee for extra guests?
A: Yes. Additional guest charges may apply depending on the number of guests registered on the reservation.
When making your reservation, it is very important to enter the correct number of adults and children who will be staying in the room. Our booking system will then calculate the appropriate rate based on your party size, room type, and permitted occupancy.
If a reservation is made without the correct number of guests listed, Hollywood Hotel will add a charge of $50 per additional guest, per night, plus applicable taxes for each unregistered guest added after the reservation was originally made.
Please note that this $50 per-person, per-night fee is higher than the additional occupancy amount that would normally be incorporated into the room rate if the correct number of adults and children had been entered at the time of booking.
For this reason, guests receive the best value by accurately entering the full number of occupants when making the original reservation.
Each guest room also has a maximum occupancy limit based on its size, bedding configuration, and applicable safety requirements. Paying an additional guest fee does not permit a room to exceed its established maximum occupancy.
For larger families and groups, Hollywood Hotel offers several accommodations designed specifically for 4 or more guests, including Double Queen rooms, larger family configurations, multi-bedroom suites, and select rooms with four Queen beds.
Booking Direct Is Especially Helpful for Families
For the widest selection, we recommend booking directly through www.TheHollywoodHotel.com and entering the exact number of adults and children traveling.
Many third-party booking websites do not display all of Hollywood Hotel’s specialty room types for larger families and groups. Guests searching only through an online travel agency may therefore miss larger family rooms and suites that are available directly through Hollywood Hotel.
Booking direct also gives guests access to more detailed room characteristics and makes it easier for our hotel team to assist with room selection and reservation changes.
All overnight guests must be registered on the reservation. Entering the correct number of guests from the beginning helps ensure that you receive the most appropriate room and the best available occupancy pricing.
Q: Do rooms have a refrigerator or microwave?

These in-room amenities make it easy to:

www.TheHollywoodHotel.com
When booking, guests can review available ADA room types and select accommodations designed to meet specific mobility or accessibility requirements.
If you require a particular feature—such as a roll-in shower, shower seat, specific room location, or another accessibility accommodation—we strongly recommend selecting an appropriate ADA room and including any additional requirements in the comment section of your reservation.
Booking directly through our official website also gives you the best opportunity to review available room characteristics and allows our hotel team to better understand and assist with your accessibility needs.
Guests traveling with a qualifying ADA service animal are welcome, and service animals are handled separately from Hollywood Hotel’s regular pet policy.
Our team will always make every effort to properly match guests with accommodations suited to their needs, subject to availability.
Accessibility Notice: Hollywood Hotel follows all applicable federal, state, and local ADA and accessibility requirements. Accessibility features, room configurations, laws, regulations, and hotel procedures may be changed or updated from time to time. If there is any conflict between this summary and applicable law, current law and official regulatory guidance will control.
Q: Do you have a pool?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool available for registered hotel guests.
The pool is located in a separate outdoor area of the property and provides a relaxing place to unwind during your stay. The surrounding pool area includes space for lounging and enjoying the Southern California weather.
The pool is solar heated, allowing Hollywood Hotel to warm the water using renewable solar energy rather than relying on fossil fuels for pool heating. The pool is generally open year-round, daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
For your convenience, the pool area also provides:
Complimentary pool towels
A complimentary water station
An outdoor shower
An ADA-accessible bathroom
An ADA pool lift, which is inspected regularly as part of our accessibility and safety procedures
A separate veranda with lounge chairs for guests who prefer to relax in a more shaded area
The veranda offers a comfortable alternative to the open pool deck for guests who would like to enjoy the pool area while spending less time in direct sunlight.
Pool Day Passes
Hollywood Hotel also offers pool day passes for non-registered hotel guests, subject to availability.
For current pricing, availability, and reservations, please visit our official website:

Pool access and operating hours may occasionally be affected by weather, maintenance, seasonal conditions, special events, or other operational requirements.
Q: Do you have a jacuzzi or hot tub?
A: Hollywood Hotel does not have a communal poolside jacuzzi or hot tub, but we do offer select specialty guest rooms and suites with private hot spa/Jacuzzi tubs.
Depending on availability, these may include:
Silver Screen Suite with One King Bed and Hot Spa Tub
Select ADA-accessible Double Queen accommodations with a hot spa tub
Other specialty room configurations that may include upgraded bathing features
Because these specialty accommodations are limited, we recommend booking directly through our official website at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com to see the most current availability, room descriptions, photographs, and pricing.
Booking direct is especially helpful because many third-party booking websites do not display all of Hollywood Hotel’s specialty room types and individual room characteristics. Our official booking engine provides a more complete view of available accommodations and makes it easier to select the specific room features you prefer.
Please note that availability of hot spa/Jacuzzi rooms varies by date and these rooms may sell out in advance.
Q: Do you have a gym or fitness center?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel offers an on-site Fitness Center and Sauna, both of which are available free of charge to registered hotel guests during their stay.
The Fitness Center provides a convenient place to maintain your workout routine without leaving the property, while the sauna offers an additional wellness amenity for guests who would like to relax after a workout or a day exploring Los Angeles.
The Fitness Center and Sauna are generally open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Reservations are required to use the sauna.
Non-hotel guests may also access the Fitness Center and Sauna by purchasing either a day pass or a monthly pass directly through our official website at:

For the most complete selection of room rates, breakfast packages, and optional add-ons, we recommend booking directly at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com
Q: Do you have a bar or room service?
A: Hollywood Hotel’s Route 66 Bar & Lounge is currently open for special events only and is not yet operating on a daily basis.
The Route 66 Bar & Lounge will reopen for regular daily service when Route 66 Bistro begins serving lunch and dinner.
At this time, Route 66 Bistro is undergoing kitchen renovations and upgrades to prepare for future lunch and dinner operations. Once those improvements are completed and lunch and dinner service begins, the Route 66 Bar & Lounge is expected to operate on a regular daily schedule as well.
Hollywood Hotel does not currently offer regular full-service in-room dining or room service.
Route 66 Bistro does continue to serve breakfast daily, generally from 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with a cooked-to-order à la carte menu featuring eggs, omelets, waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, specialty beverages, and other breakfast selections.

Q: Is the front desk open 24 hours? What languages do you speak?
A: Yes. Hollywood Hotel’s front desk is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so there is always a team member available to assist registered guests with check-in, questions, hotel services, and other needs during their stay.
Hollywood Hotel also has multilingual staff. Languages commonly spoken by members of our team include:
English
Spanish
German
Additional languages may also be available depending on the staff members on duty.
Because individual employees speak different languages, we cannot guarantee that a team member fluent in a particular language will be available at every hour. If you require assistance in a specific language, we recommend noting your language preference in the comment section of your reservation so our team can make every reasonable effort to assist.
Hollywood Hotel also provides 24-hour security, giving our guests both front-desk assistance and on-property security around the clock.
Q: Why should I book direct on the Hollywood Hotel official website www.TheHollywoodHotel.com instead of third party websites like Expedia.com or Booking.com
A: Booking directly with Hollywood Hotel at www.TheHollywoodHotel.com gives you several advantages over booking through third-party websites such as Expedia or Booking.com.
One of the biggest benefits is access to our Hollywood Hotel Member Rate, which provides 10% off our regular posted rates. When you sign up as a Hollywood Hotel member, you are also automatically enrolled in our loyalty program, allowing you to earn points that can be redeemed toward eligible purchases at the hotel, including future room nights, room upgrades, breakfast, parking, and other hotel products and services.
Booking direct also gives you access to our widest selection of room types, including Starlet, Luminary, Silver Screen, ADA-accessible rooms, two-Queen and four-Queen configurations, and larger family and multi-bedroom accommodations that may not always be available on third-party websites.
Direct reservations generally offer greater flexibility as well. Our direct flexible rates can provide more favorable cancellation terms than comparable OTA rates, and if you need to change your dates or room type, our team can assist you directly, subject to availability and any applicable rate difference. By comparison, reservations made through Expedia, Booking.com, Airbnb, or another third party usually must be modified or cancelled through the original booking provider.
You can also take advantage of direct-booking options and add-ons that may not be available through OTAs, including breakfast-inclusive rates, additional breakfast vouchers, parking reservations, pet packages, and specialized room configurations.
Booking direct also makes it easier to communicate special room requests, such as a preference for a quieter courtyard-facing room, a particular room location, or another accommodation request. While requests are always subject to availability, they are received directly by our hotel team.
Third-party websites can be useful if you are bundling airfare or using their rewards programs, but for guests who value better rates, loyalty rewards, flexibility, room selection, and direct assistance from the hotel, booking directly with Hollywood Hotel is usually the best choice.
