Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the all-time favorite Disney movies to watch around the Halloween season among many children. If you enjoy this movie and are looking for family-friendly Halloween events near Hollywood, then you are going to love this event hosted at the Hollywood Bowl.

Come and watch a screening of The Nightmare Before Christmas while the music is performed live by an orchestra and the songs are sung live by original cast members. This event happens on Oct. 26 and 27. Composer Danny Elfman (Jack Skellington), and actors Catherine O'Hara (Sally) and Ken Page (Oogie Boogie) will be performing alongside the orchestra for a spectacular live musical rendition of the soundtrack.

The Nightmare Before Christmas tells the story of Jack Skellington, the “Pumpkin King” of Halloween Town, who one day finds a secret portal that transports him to Christmas Town. After finding out about Christmas, Jack decides to hijack it.

In addition to the screening, the Hollywood Bowl will be transformed into Halloween Town with ghoulish decorations for all to enjoy. There will also be pre-show activities including an audience costume contest so be sure to wear your best Tim Burton-themed costume.
